What up folks? i was thinking since we already did a post about the best looking sneakers (acording to us!) we decided to do one from the opposite end of the spectrum. Here’s our list of the worst looking Sneakers (again this is just our oppinion, yours may differ).
10. Nike Lebron Zoom 2:
After a solid debut shoe Nike followed up with this lackluster shoe. Design was horrible, it felt too bulky on your feet and they came in a slew of hideous looking colorways. There was no saving this shoe. Sorry King James this was a peasant like release.
9. Air Jordan 2012:
WTF was Tinker Hatfield & MJ thinking. These joints look like something they would release under the Brand Jordan/Jumpman line. They look very cheap, uninspiring and fake to say the least i couldn’t imagine the Great Air Jordan wearing these during NBA games. I’m stunned that Jordan hasn’t figured out a way to design cool sneakers these days their last 4 efforts have been ho hum to say the least.
8. D Wade Li Ning 1:
Oh how the mighty have fallen. Dwayne Wade went from the Penthouse to the basement with his decision to leave Brand Jordan. Not like they were doing him any justice either but he was bestowed by MJ as the new face of the Air Jordan line. Funny how that didn’t work either, i guess Wade just wanted more $ because these kicks look horrible. I’m willing to bet 1 million dollars that he doesn’t wear these kicks anywhere off the court. Li Ning are becoming major players in the NBA signature shoe game but if they don’t hire/find better sneaker designers it doesn’t matter what athlete they sign they wont sell. thumbs all the way down on these joints, yuck!.
7. Jodran Brand Melo 7:
In all honesty we could have picked just about any Jordan/Melo kicks they’re just laime for a player of his caliber this shouldn’t be the case. Who designs these shoes? does Melo have any approval power? Stop okaying these weak designed kicks you’re better than that Melo. SMH!
6. Marbury And1 (Any pair):
To be real we could have picked any one of the Marbury/And1 releases they all sucked. Horrible design no flare nothing anyone with any credibility would wear, so they didn’t. I hate to see athletes just take the money without really being vested into the product. This is a clear example because a kid from Brooklyn (Like Marbury) wouldn’t wear a pair of these and think they’re stylish.
5. Patrick Ewing Focus:
Now i will be the first to say that i think Patrick Ewing kicks are dope but not these. These were all the way whack. To me it looked like they just threw a design together without thinking. Never will i be caught wearing these joints unless for some crazy reason a lose a bet. Love my Knicks though, sorry Pat.
4. Fila Grant Hill 3:
The first 2 releases from Fila were a tremendous success. They were very stylish and popular to say the least. Fila was on a high until they slipped up and released these Grant Hill 3. WTF happened to them they look like and straight up pair of F^ckits. Nobody brought them and just like that Grant Hill and Fila were done in more ways than one.
3. Reebok Shaq Attack 3:
Huh? jst like the Grant Hill Fila sneakers the 1st two releases were real good. Then came these it felt like this was a pattern for the sneakers companies back then because there are no real reason why they couldn’t continue to make a great looking shoe for a premiere athlete. I know Shaq is a hands on type of guy so not all of the blame goes to Reebok on this one. I guess he just stop caring because as you can see he went on to release mundane sneakers via Payless or Kmart. Shaq fell way off in the sneaker game and real early for a player of his magnitude.
2. Reebok Iverson Answer 1:
Another head scratcher here Iverson made a big splash coming out of college after his freshman year at Georgetown University. He was a big Air Jordan guy the team even wore them during their games that year. When he turned pro he signed with Reebok for a boat load of money. I personally thought that was a bad idea simply because i didn’t think Reebok had what it took to design cool on and off court shoes. As you can see by this release i was right these joints are whack. where is the cool factor to them?. For a player like Iverson with so much Hip-Hop cred and street roots i was shocked that he would wear suck corny looking shoes. Reebok never really delivered on the signature line for Iverson.
1. Addidas Kobe 2:
Self Explanitory! Kobe Bryant is the best player in the NBA of recent memory not to have a strong sneaker legacy until the “Black Mamba campaign“. He signed with Addidas and this is what we got. straight up Martian shoes. Maybe Lil Wayne would dig them.
Brand Jordan CP3 #2:
WTF are these? Brand Jordan needs new blood by the way of shoe designers signing with them is a deathwish of sorts. Again we a great player with a laime shoe line.
